June 17th was a good day for flying. We flew from Seattle-Tacoma to Dallas-Fort Worth on our way to San José, Costa Rica. Usually at 30,000 ft. there’s too much cloud-cover below for interesting photography. Not so on this day. Mt. Ranier was glorious and Great Salt Lake, surreal. We had clear views of mountains, desert, farmland, erosion, forest fires, and pollution all the way to the Gulf Coast.
